Started with sore throat yesterday, getting worse all day. By night, head, sinuses, throat, fever (around 100),some minor coughing, drainage, headache with loads of pressure, chills, fatigue, swollen nodes in neck, ear itching.
So, what do I have and make it go away! I feel like crud. Dh left for a meeting and won't return until tomorrow night. But he cooked up before he left so I won't have to do anything but tell the kids what to pull out.
I hate being sick -- whine whine whine.

SLEEP!!!!!!!! This sounds like what I had a couple of weeks ago. I'm sorry you've got it too. Advil, lots of fluid, lots and lots of rest and don't forget to rest.

Nyquil, take me away!!!!!
Seriously, if I felt like you (and I did a few days ago), I would take my two tablespoons of Nyquil, feel the burn, and go to bed! I might have to do it again the next night, if staying in bed all day didn't help. I might still need more bed rest for several more days (based on the bug that seems to be going around this year). But, Nyquil would address the symptoms, and make me able to sleep.

I don't mean to speak it over you, but it sounds like the flu that I just got over. Mine started with sore throat, lots of head pressure and clear drainage. I just thought it was the cruds, but did a rapid flu nasal swab and sure enough it was the flu. I guess it's just another strain of it. It didn't even look like the flu b/c the symptoms weren't the classic signs! I hope it's just the weekend cruds. How about some Tamiflu just in case? If it is the flu then it will lessen the symptoms and length. I'll pray for you too!

It sounds like you have the "respiratory crud". :(
Take whatever you need to feel more comfortable and sleep - Tylenol/ibuprofen for the fever, cough medicine, etc.
If you have it, take echinacea/goldenseal and or garlic.
Rest!
I hope you're feeling better soon!

Yep: crud is the technical term, you know. ;) I have it, too. Blech! :(
