Was worth going to. It was definitely "busy" on a Saturday a.m. but with a little patience, you can get through.
Don't forget to take a gander at the standing collection of "really old stuff" at the north end. Seeing the faces of Humbaba sent my 5 year old into cries of "where is Gilgamesh and Enkidu?"
SAM is not so big you'll be lost and dazed.
The parking garage is best approached by turning east onto Union from 1st. It is 3/8ths of the way up the block on the right. (Union is 2 way between 1st and 2nd, not that mapquest will tell you that).
