Analytical Grammar or stick with R&S English 7 ???

Hello all,
I just wanted opinions on whether I should have dd stick with R&S English 7 (we've used R&S since 3rd grade) or switch to Analytical Grammer for 7th next fall? I want dd to spend more time w/writing & literature and also start Latin. I just wonder if AG is complete? It just seems like doing grammer for 10 weeks then review every 2 wks, doesn't seem like you're learning as much as R&S (I have English 7 scope and sequence). Also, dd has learned so much from R&S its really been thorough, yet time consuming.... Could someone help me here!? - thanks!!!

We just got AG rather than go on with R&S 7. I think once you get through all three seasons (as they call them) it will be quite sufficient. For us it became just too much with R&S. And we wanted to add literature and a stronger writing program. For us I think this will work. I am sure so old hands at this will be able to better describe it. Did you watch the video that they have on their website? It is looong but it is informative. We are actually going to start it this coming week and I hope it will be just what we need. We will probably speed it a long between seasons though as I want to be in review mode only during eighth grade and then if needed get the reinforcements for high school.

I have also used R&S grammar since 3rd grade, and my oldest will go into R&S grammar 7 next year. I have the books already, and while the course looks intimidating, I can't imagine not continuing until completion (which is R&S grammar 8 for us). I think that R&S grammar 7 is what we've been building for all of this time. However, as I'm planning out grammar, I'm going to schedule R&S grammar either one of two ways: 1) Do all of the lessons, but spread it out over 2 years (I'm leaning toward this one) or 2) Drop all of the writing lessons (since we do CW already) and spread the remaining lessons out over one year. If I do R&S grammar 7 over 2 years, I'll use R&S grammar 8 as a review in high school.
