What age do those of you who use this program begin it?

We started homeschooling in 4th grade (age 10) but didn't discover Writing Strands until 5th grade. So we started Level 3 at age 11 in 5th grade.

TWTM (2nd edition) recommends starting WS in 3rd grade and aiming to finish WS 4 by the end of 4th grade. The publisher recommends WS 2 for 2nd grade.

TWTM (2nd edition) recommends starting WS in 3rd grade and aiming to finish WS 4 by the end of 4th grade. The publisher recommends WS 2 for 2nd grade.

Each level of Writing Strands is one semester's worth of writing. The author assumes you'll be doing reading/literature for the other half (or writing and reading/literature interspersed throughout the year).

Also, the author says that Level 2 is the only one that is truly grade-level oriented. The others are exprience levels, not grade levels.
