Algebra I , DD does not particularly care for

saxon I and teacher dvd. The answer book has one answer and the dvd shows another one. AM not too impressed with this at all and it was highly recommended on another site.
If I have to change I do not want to spend a fortune on another program. HOw about abeka anyone have opinions on it?

I am currently researching Life of Fred. It appeals to me for my daughter.

we used it for Alg 2 and ds really likes it. It is very self explanatory (that includes a child who is not math savy) and has the solution manual step by step solution. The lessons has the child do example problems and then do exercises. My son has really excelled with this program and is doing amazingly well with it. Up until now he has been a so-so math person. We like it so much we will be using her Pre-Calculus program. Jann recommends getting an older edition (7th or 8th). We got the 7th and I spent $30 on all of it. Great program at a great price.
