No, it's not the name of a new Latin curriculum... ;)

I've seen several people mention Latin chants, and was wondering what that means. Are you repeating vocabulary this way, or conjugations? Can someone please give me an example of what this sounds like? I love the idea, especially for my younger, very-auditory dd, but can't really get a solid picture in my head.

Thanks!

It's just reciting the endings and/or forms of the various declensions (noun classes), conjugations (verb classes), pronouns, etc. Here's an article (http://www.memoriapress.com/articles/Latin-Recitation.html) on how it's done.

What he said. We kind of make up our own little rhythm or tune and just say over and over a few times "-o,-s,-t,-mus,-tis,-nt...." It helps that we have the LfC dvd's and the kids on there chant so we can copy some of those.
