Hi~
I bought this last spring at a convention. I remember talking at length to the author about how to use this, but for the life of me I can't remember. How did you guys use this?
THanks,

Keep in mind that I tweaked this especially during the first module.

1. Add notes for the previous day's lesson into a spiral notebook. [I agree with the author that students shouldn't take notes while viewing the lesson, but felt that the course notes needed to be customized. My son was glad he had his own notes to review for unit tests.]
2. Briefly review all completed lessons which will be on the next quiz.
3. Take quiz (Form A) if scheduled.
[I tried to grade quizzes right away so I could decide if we needed to repeat a lesson or could move on.]
4. View lesson.
5. Work practice problems, and replay lesson if needed.
6. Work the problem set, make corrections if necessary, and discuss with me the reason for any missed problems...didn't fully understand concept, skipped a step, arithmetic error, etc.

If he didn't do well enough on a quiz to move on to the next lesson, we reviewed until he was ready to repeat the quiz (Form B). I spent about 30-40 minutes a day on math. That included watching the lesson, working the practice problems with him, grading quizzes, and asking him about what he'd missed from the problem set.

The Videotext website suggests what he calls a five-step method. This is likely what he explained to you at the convention. I found it most of the way down on the FAQ page...
