Anyone used Grammar Ace from Sonlight?

I'd like to get reviews of this grammar program. It looks gentle and fun, and easy to customize.

Anyone used it? With what age kids? Can you review it?

I purchased this mainly because of the use of the Grammar Rock songs from the Schoolhouse Rock DVD.
Do I like it? So-so. I don't care for the explanations of the different parts of speech. It is not something that reads very easy to a child, so you are better off reading the information yourself and then teaching the child from that. There are a couple activity sheets for each lesson and some game ideas to reinforce the topic.

I purchased this because my dd wanted to learn some grammar and I felt she wasn't ready for Analytical Grammar (she is 6th grade/11yo). She also really likes the Schoolhouse Rock songs. I don't expect her to remember everything as my main intent was for this to be an introduction to grammar before starting AG this next year.

I don't think it is a bad program and is probably at least as good as most others out there. It is not something you can hand to your child and have them do it on their own so if you want something that is independent this would not be it.

Would I purchase this again? Yes, I think so, but with the same intent as I did this time.
