View Full Version : Has anyone used MBTP 9-11?

I am intrigued by this program for my accelerated learner. If anyone has used this, I would love to hear your thoughts.:001_smile:

It's really new, I think it just came out this year so there are very few who have tried it. Those who post about it on the Yahoo group seem to like it a lot, though.

Anyways, I understand it was fairly new, and I asked on the yahoo boards, but not to many people have really used it either.

They seem to like the other levels. I am just wondering if it really is a challenging curriculum. I have been going back and forth on what to use this year. CTT, MBTP, or trying to follow some of the WTM suggestions.

It's been around for a few years. And I think it's a great program. We used the 7-9 last year and really enjoyed it :)

I know the curriculum has been around a while, but the 9-11 program has not.

RJH, are you continuing with MPTP this year? What age was your child using the 7-9?

I'm interested in 9-11 too, so want to keep an eye on this thread.

Oh, okay. I thought the person meant that whole curriculum was new. :lol: We used it last year when DS (highly gifted *tested with WISC IV*) was 7. We will not continue with it this year, because we both tend to get board easy, and like to switch things up. The only thing with that program that didn't work great with DS was the story writing requirements. He was getting frustrated with it. I switched him to Writing Tales, and he did a complete 360. We will be sticking with that program for a good long while.
