We used Elementary Spanish from Ed Online last year and liked it, it's no longer an option for us. We tried Power Glides Children's version and hated it. I need something that is interactive that my boys will enjoy. I'm trying to just get assorted videos from the library and gosh we've had a lot of flops.
I've considered Puertas Abiertas, but doubtful they'll have a level two and don't think it will hold my kids interest.
I don't want a workbook based program, just vocabulary exposure. Any suggestions for 3rd and 1st?

but Elementary Spanish on United Streaming has been a big hit here. :) It is interactive and not a workbook approach, although there is a simple worksheet that follows up each lesson that you can use or not.
The Homeschool Buyers Co-op and here is a link (http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/group-buys/) to the page that shows the current price of $136. This price is good until the end of March.
I too looked at Puertas Abiertas but liked US Spanish better and for less money I could get Spanish plus all the other things that Streaming has to offer (1000's of educational videos). I thought PA was a little too kiddish for my ds6 and like you was concerned with it being a relatively new program that they would be able to produce new levels fast enough. I didn't want to start with one program for a year or two and then have to switch.
Hope this helps! You can get a 30 free trial of Discovery Streaming (http://streaming.discoveryeducation.com/index.cfm) (the new name for United Streaming) by going to their website.
Good luck deciding.

I'm using Espanol Para Chicos y Grandes next year and it's not too expensive. I just got my materials in and I think they look good. Here's a link:

through a state cyber charter - free. The thing is, homeschoolers here get Ed Online free, which is quite similar to United Streaming, except it does not have United Streaming, I can't justify $136 per year, simply to get Elementary Spanish, since I have the other resources for free - YKWIM?
We also have DISH, but the family package, the only one that doesn't include the channel that has Elementary Spanish - errr. To upgrade our package we are looking at an additional $144 per year.

That is awesome to get such a great resource for free but sad that the Spanish isn't included. There are so many great things out there though that I am sure you will find a perfect fit. Have you checked over at the Spanish/Latino board? I know there has been a lot of curriculum discussion going on over there!
Best of luck to you.

Here's the link to the big chart of options:

You should be able to find something there.
Do you get Dish Network by any chance? If so, you get Elementary Spanish on the University House channel, which is in the basic package.
