at least it should be gone w/in a day. hopefully by noon........
actually, i don't mind the snow. I love the snow. I love shoveling snow. I just hate the COLD! Can i have snow w/o cold?? Snow w/ 90 degree heat would be super cool. :D

May I ask you a question (realizing, of course, that you are not a meteorologist)?
My husband is supposed to take a group from our church to Waxahachie this afternoon (from the San Angelo area). Have you heard anything in the forecast that would give us a hint about expected road conditions this afternoon? (Is it supposed to get above freezing? Is the snow expected to melt? That sort of thing.) They were planning on leaving around noon, so they would be reaching that part of the world around 4:00.
Thanks for any information you can give me!:)

We woke up to snow this morning. The boys were so excited, so I delayed school to let them go outside and play. It's warming up fast this morning; the snow was pretty much gone by 9am. I hope the boys don't start expecting snow now that we've had it in central Texas for the 2 years in a row.

Honestly, that just tells you that the groundhog is no smarter than many weather forecasters out there. But tell me, is groundhog any good?;)

I've never eaten it, but I heard a story about someone who did. He told his hosts that was the best chicken he'd ever eaten! They told him that wasn't chicken, that was groundhog, and he promptly threw it all up.
Edited to add: That was a true story. The person who unknowingly ate the groundhog was a friend of my 5th grade Sunday School teacher.

I know, right? (joke from earlier post):p I mean to say I'm in agreement. I had to take bath to thaw out.

well, it's already 11:40, but the roads are fine :-)
I would check the forecast for tonight tho-- getting to Wax won't be a problem [i'll be in Wax from 2-5, lol], but getting back by 7pm/8pm might be different as the temps drop.
good luck!

Great -- thank you!
They'll be spending the night at a hotel and have to be at Southwestern by 8:30 tomorrow morning, so they shouldn't have any trouble this evening. As long as the roads are clear in the morning, things should be great.
I appreciate it!:)
