I can't remember anything that wouldn't be ok but I don't have a chance to re-read the book right now. He is going to want it tonight.

and loving it. She knows she can come to me if there is any objectionable content or anything in the book that makes her uncomfortable, and we will talk about it. It was recommended for this age by Ambleside Online.

It was not difficult.
The only reason I waited so long was that the sarcastic tone and idealization of disobediance were things I wanted to discuss rather than just gloss over. DD loves sarcasm, and I needed to be ready!

I just read it with a bunch of 8 and 9 year olds for a book group and it was fine. There is racism that needs to be discussed, and sexism, and a murder, and scary bad guys, but nothing terribly over-their-heads or too-mature.

I just saw this and thought it said, "Is Tom Selleck ok for a 10 yo?".
Magnum PI anyone?
