Brave Writer

Has anyone used Brave Writer's high school program? Any thoughts on it? How long did it take to complete? Me and DD are thinking about using it as part of her high school english curric.

I bought the Brave Writer "Writers Jungle" program and was not at all impressed. It was $80 for a PDF file that was very heavily "padded" with conversational blah blah and could have been edited down to about 20 pages (but then she would have a hard time justifying the $80 price tag).

I also bought 2 of the "Arrow" packages, which I thought were terrible -- $10 each for a few pages, and the suggested "writing project" for grammar stage / Fairy Tales was to make a collage for each fairy tale they read. (Umm, I paid $10 for that?)

I know some people love her stuff, and you will probably get some rave reviews, but I found it really over-priced and underwhelming.

I found the classes to be the most helpful. My dc have done a few and really enjoyed them.
