A SF Bay Area talk show host, Gene Burns, is discussing the case right now. If you're interested, you can hear it on the web at

This host is usually very level-headed and libertarian in his leanings and supportive of individual rights. I just tuned in. I hope he's got his facts straight.

...is that the host, Gene Burns, is very articulate and very supportive of parents' rights.

After the first caller (a community college instructor) I was afraid he was going to be swamped with calls from teacher union members condemning home schooling.

That community college instructor! Ugh! That's all I can say about that!

LOL!! Yeah.

The attorney from Alaska... that was interesting. So the court knew what it was doing when they published this ruling. It could have affected just that one family if they left it unpublished. And by publishing it they had to have known the impact it would have.

Well, not much of interest was covered. However, it was wonderful to hear someone support parents' right to educate their own kids rather than the NEA party line that only teachers are qualified to teach.

Yeah. I'm really surprised how this has really taken off like wildfire. And believe me, I've seen them here. I can't believe it's everywhere now. Wow! Just wow! I even had someone from my church call me tonight saying that she's so sorry that I won't be able to homeschool anymore. I told her well we're not done and we're hoping that it will be overturned or something.
