Hi again, DS took saxon physics last year. It was good but we want to continue our studies The incremental, spiral method was good for review but seemed to disjointed if that makes sense which shows on his lower SAT II physics score. We are using Giancoli's Physics: principles with applications. Now I am trying to decide what to call this on the transcript. I am leaning toward calling it Honors physics since I think this is a more advanced text then Saxon. I don't want to simply put physics for both years if you know what I mean. Physics II seems misleading. I am wondering what you all think.

Thanks!

Barb

I think dd will have 3 semesters of honors chemistry and 3 semesters of honors physics. In her case, we did conceptual courses at the junior high level and are now doing more or less AP level work over the course of 3 semesters. Non-standard, but that's the point of homeschooling, right? The transcript entry for this year was "Honors Chemistry, Semesters I and II". Next year it will be "Honors Chemistry, Semester III."
