View Full Version : WhileI know there were huge changes in 05, does the SAT really change that yearly?

I would rather buy two or three test prep books from previous years for my daughter than to buy one '08 book, but was wondering just how much different the tests are from year to year?

Thanks very much :)

ETA: Oops, my title lost a word by mistake: really change that much...

However, I do suggest that whatever test prep books you use, that it states it is for the NEW Sat (those are the big '05 changes).

FWIW, having had 2 children (thus far) go through SAT prep (and doing quite well), I highly recommend the Official Guide put out by the College Board people because it uses *real* tests from past SATs (8, I think)

I had mine work through that and with sticky areas (in our case math), I bought a math specific worktext--I picked one up based on Amazon reviews. You will see that some prep texts are *harder* than the original and others are easier.

Also, if you haven't yet, sign up your children for the Official SAT question of the day--those questions reflect actual SAT q's as well and take some of the mystery away regarding the test.

HTH,
