Corn Allergies

Do you know of anyone who reacts to corn-based fibers that are starting to be used in clothes or carpet? I know of a number of people with significant corn allergies. It makes me curious what the impact of this usage of corn will have people.

I'd say I'm pretty sensitive to corn - ingested corn that is. I've even reacted to the amount present as a sweetener/binder in vitamins. But I don't think I react to corn that is not ingested. Maybe it's worth a "test" of holding something made out of corn to see if my symptoms appear. I sure hope I don't react to corn in the "environment"!
