I've looked at the Sneaky Chef but not at Deceptively Delicious (ridiculously long wait for it from the library!). There seem to be more favorable reviews on Amazon for the Sneaky Chef, but I'd love to hear from the hive. Which one do you recommend?

My neighbor has Deceptively Delicious and I've samples come great choc-chip cookies (with chickpeas in them!) and they were great. So there is at least 1 great receipe in that book :) I know it dosen't help but hopefully others will chime in! :)

is terrific! I've done several of the recipes - even served them to Men's Bible Study ;) - and no one was the wiser. My kids loved them - and they are SUPER picky!

Of course I have to wait for a house with a kitchen first... working out of a microwave for the moment!

I am making macaroni and cheese Deceptively Delicious style right now. Actually, I just used my regular mac n cheese recipe and added the pureed cauliflower like she did to hers. I did this last week, and no one noticed the difference. I have made the meatloaf and the chili, also, and my kids were none the wiser. I love this cookbook.

In all honesty, I don't know what her recipes are like, but I feel sorry for her! She hasn't got a celebrity husband whose name opens doors for her (like Oprah appearances). What really makes me mad is that I heard that she was turned down by the publisher who then went on to publish the Seinfeld book!
Your post reminded me that I've been planning to buy her cookbook...time to put my money where my mouth is!
