I'm getting no response on the K-8 board, so maybe someone here can answer my question.

Has anyone used a free lit. guide for Rip Van Winkle that you could recommend? I was going to use this for my 8th grader in the fall, but what do you all think of me having my 6th grader work on this book too? She's a good reader, but I don't want to push her. I've never personally read the story myself--yet. :001_smile:

At Core Knowledge there is one:

www.coreknowledge.org

At the site if you highlight Resources at the top it will pull up several choices. Teacher's guides is right under Resouces. If you click here you will find several guides and one is for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and other tales. Rip Van Winkle is included in this one.
