We want to use it mostly for fruit smoothy protein drinks using frozen fruit. Is it capable of that? Any other good/bad comments about the product? We were also considering the Sharper Image Shake 'n Take which is about $20 cheaper, but doesn't do all the Magic Bullet claims.
Thanks!

I was given a magic bullet as a gift and I LOVE it. I don't know if I would have taken the initiative to go buy one on my own because of the cost, but I wouldn't trade mine for anything.
We use it for smoothies often, and it works better than any blender I've ever used. (Except maybe my parents' Vita Mix, and even then, you can't do single servings without having to wash the whole thing.)
I love it because it's quick, convenient, easy to wash, works very well, and you can do single servings.
I use it for everything I would want a blender for, and more. I still have my blender, in case I want to do a larger batch of something, but I haven't used it once since I got my Magic Bullet last year.

I don't have one but have heard good things about it. Costco has it right now, too.

We got ours almost 3 (or was it 4?) years ago. It is absolutely wonderful for many things, especially smoothies :) I use mine almost daily!

I bought one instead of a blender when I had a tiny kitchen and no room for appliances. I love it.

used a Magic Bullet at a friend's house last year and fell in love with it. picked mine up at Costco. i use it daily for grinding coffee beans and a few times a week for making smoothies. a definite 'must have' appliance for me at this point especially since it takes up much less counter space than a blender and is MUCH easier to clean.

I've wondered too....except their :D:DCHEESY:D:D infomercial is so annoying, I've thought that the product itself must be junk. Maybe not, though, judging by the responses so far.

Same exact thing here. Love it - it was a gift. I think they sell "2 for the price of one" so I got my mom's extra.
Easy and simple to use - and clean.

I would never have bought one on my own initiative (that cheesy infomercial thing) but mil bought me one at an outlet store and I love it!!!!! I use it every single day and often multiple times a day.
No one in my home (other than me) likes anything chunky/with any texture so I puree so much. Canned vegetarian refried beans mixed with some salsa to sneak in a veggie serving, smoothies, baby food, baby food and more baby food (cook, puree and pour into ice cube trays for single servings), puree salsa that's too chunky straight from the jar...you can do tons with it. It makes homemade hummus a snap, too! Oh, btw, I still steam spinach, puree in the magic bullet and freeze into cubes. I drop a few cubes into blueberry smoothies a few times a week and no one is the wiser! Not even dh (until I told him a year later!).
Hope you enjoy yours if you buy one.

We've been through 3 of them so far. They are the neatest, simpliest, smallest, efficient appliance in our kitchen. I wish they would take a harder beating though. We use it alot, but the commercial assumes you can use it for everything LOL. Our first bullet lost the plastic tabs on the glass so we had to hold it down. THen the motor went. The second one didn't last but a couple of weeks, so we returned it. This third one we have been using for almost a year.

I thought that a follow-up would be good in case others do a search on the topic. We purchased the bullet and many months later I have no regrets. That machine works amazingly well and it is so small on the countertop. It blends ice so well, that if you leave it in too long the ice becomes more of a powder. Once, I scooped out the cream from our fresh goat milk into the blender and used their whipping blade--within about ten seconds the blend was the consistency of butter. In addition to your traditional smoothie, we have made salsa, dips, and ground coffee beans with it successfully. So . . . if you are considering and not sure, I would recommend it!

we love love love our magic bullet. Use it at least weekly and daily in spurts (protein shakes!) We've had ours over 3 years now and I'm wondering if we'll have to get a new one soon. But 3 years for a well-used appliance sounds good to me if that is a situation. Hopefully it won't go out though. I'll miss it even if it is only a few days before I buy another.
