? re: Abeka Math 6, 7 and Pre-Alg

Ok, I have DD12 and DS11

I bought Abeka 7 for my 12 yr old and Abeka 6 for my 11 yr old.

These 2 seem SO similar that I am wondering do you all use BOTH grades 6 and 7 or do you skip one of them?

If you skip, should I skip 7 and put 12 into Pre-Alg, OR should I skip 6 and put 11 into 7 (that would be convenient - having both on the same level)

If your 12 year old is ready for pre-alg then the WTM would have you skip the 7th grade book. SWB recommends completing 6 then going to 8. So, you are right, year 7 isn't needed. HTH.
