How do you make southern baked beans? My dd's homeschool class read To Kill a Mockingbird, and on Friday they are watching the movie and having a southern lunch. We are to bring Southern baked beans. And since you can't sleep, I thought maybe you might have a recipe to share! TIA

Yum. I wish I did. I haven't lived here long enough (5 years). I have had some wonderful baked beans, some great au gratin potatoes, and amazing ribs, though. I just don't know how to make them myself. I bet Paula Dean has some great recipes on her site.
