More reviews needed. I am trying to decide on books for my 2 little guys so I really appreciate all your input and time. They will be 3 and 4 by 1 June. Thanks!

I don't have much experience yet as we have only just begun *About 3*. I can tell you that I love what I see in the pre and K books. So far my experience has been with the pages that teach drawing straight lines. My dd is 4 mos shy of being 3 yo. I have been working with her holding the pencil in order to draw the lines from one object to its match. I did this a few days then she got out another fun pad and did it all by herself and siad, "Mama, I draw lines." She did great! This child loves to write so this start has been good for her. She even request it!
If you have any questions about what the books contain, etc. I will be glad to answer. Also have you seen the sample pages?

I used them when my K'r was 4 and really enjoyed them. I just bought them for my 3yo for next school year (he will be 4). They are just workbook books, but nicely done. Some cutting and pasting, some matching sounds, some learning numbers and letters, etc. I think it is very good preparation for Kindergarten. My son enjoyed them too.

I agree. They were a big hit with my preschooler last year.

Both of my kids liked them and they're opposites in terms of strengths and weaknesses. I think these are a good choice for just about any child.

The people at timberdoodle.com used to carry both the R&S workbooks and the Kumon ones. (Perhaps they still carry both kinds). When I asked them their opinion they said they now preferred the Kumon workbooks.

Thank you all once again. I have tried some of the Kumon books with these two little guys. They both did the First Steps books. I think we will give these a shot. WHEW!!! PreK done!
Now if only science for the older two were so easy. SIGH!

I prefer them for older four or closer to five. Mennonites don't have kindergarten so they are called preschool but they really mean five and six year olds.
So if you use this with a 3-4 year old you're using it 2-3 years ahead of the age they were meant for...
You can still enjoy them but I think it's better to wait till your four is 4.5 and not do them together with dc, and get your younger one Kumon, and use Kumon until your four is older.
Not because of the concepts, but more the motor skills, though.

R&S also have the set of workbooks that starts with the one titled *About Three*. They work GREAT for younger children and my dd loves them.

I used a couple of their books this year with my 4 year-old dd. She and I both truly loved "Finding the Answers". Its a great book. I don't know if you know, but during the month of March they are giving 10% discounts for items starting with a "1" (I don't know if these books count or not) and also free shipping on orders over $25.
Good luck.

I am just in the process of ordering them myself for my 3rd daughter. She will be 5 in June . But is more then ready for this series right now . I was able to scan some of the sample pages off of the link everyone gave you and she absolutely loved the pages. So I'm sold on the program . Also if you order the series from Rod and Staff you will get the full series of the ABC Series. They just came out with a new workbook for the ABC Series ,, called Going on Eagerly . Rod and Staff is planning on making more sometime in the future ... Hearing and Helping ,,Inside and Outside ,, Just Thinking and Choosing ,,Keep Doing it Carefully ,, and Learning More and More . When they plan on releasing these ? I don't know .

We used the about three and the preschool books and DS loved them! They were so easy to use, and actually since ds loves to color everything anyways, he loved that they were black and white. He finished them all already and he's just now turning five- so it must depend on your child as to when to use them. He also loves workbook activities so that may have something to do with it.
Wow, I can't wait to use the new ones with my younger son- we've got a ways to wait though so hopefully they will be out by the time we would need them.
