Warriner English Grammar and Composition Third course- how do you schedule it?

My 8th grader will be using it this year. I don't see any way we can finish that book in a year. If you have used it, how do you schedule it? I don't think we will be doing the composition part, since he is taking a writing class online, but there is no way we will even be able to finish the grammar section.

My son and daughter did 4 pages per day. On the days they had a chapter test, they reviewed with me and took the test (they did not do the test and 4 pages out of the student book on the same day.) We use the 1977 edition.
