I am planning my curric. for next year. Last year I poured over my SOTW V.2 Activity Guide and bought my readers and read alouds mostly based on those suggestions. I sooooo LOVED all the books I have used this year. I want to do this again, but I am very limited on time this year....

....so, I was wondering if any of you know of any sites or links etc. that have the books suggested for use with SOTW V 3 listed somewhere (so I don't have to spend my time pulling them from my Activity Guide.

Thanks so much.

The best thing to do would be to buy the activity guide. I just LOVE the activity guide...it has many suggestions for additional readings as well as activities/crafts to do for each chapter. I wouldn't be able to do history justice without it.

I actually have it...and the vol 1 and vol 2 activity guides. They are awesome. I use them every day I do history.

However, in ordering my curriculum I wanted to cheat a little and not spend hours going through the guide right now. I figured the list of books must be listed somewhere online.

I soooo agree the activity guides are worth every penny and a wonderful resource I would not want to be without.

Thanks...

I think it's actually a violation of copywrite to list and post all the recommended books from the AG somewhere. I know there must be people who have taken suggestions from v3, as well as other sources, combined them and created their OWN version of materials for v3.

I did this for v2, and like you spent countless hours researching books from SL, VP, SOTW2, Roman Catholic History, art history, architecture, etc.

If someone has already weeded through all of that for v3, I'd like to see it, too. But the truth is that list will vary depending on your kids ages, interests, reading levels, etc. So we might be stuck doing this all over again. ;)

Would this help. Click on SOW and then scroll down to Literature Lists - 800 titles according to time period.
