Ds5 would like to know about blood-the different parts (white blood cells and neutrophils, specifically). He's had some issues with his blood over the past many months and this last time we had it drawn he expressed an interest in learning about blood.
Can you guys help me? FWIW, he's not squeamish at all, but I am.

Basically, blood cells are of three types: red blood cells, platelets, and white blood cells. However, there are 5 different classifications of white blood cells (also known as leukocytes): neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. You can even further subdivide or call these cells different names, so it can all get rather confusing:eek:
