? about BJU literature

I have a BJU literature book that I got for 90% off. It is an older edition but I can get the TM on amazon. Do I need it? The questions at the end of the stories seem a little thin to me but I have found BJU's TM's to be almost overkill, at least for me.

Any help?

I used the TM's for the grade 9 and 10 text. Yes, they are a little overkill if you use them as they are designed. I didn't. I appreciated the colour-coded highlights in the text, pointing out the various literary marks being used. Often, we just read parts of the commentary together, and always, we enjoyed the stories. They were great bonding times.

I don't read their assignments, so the T/E are helpful for answers to the book questions.
