So right now, my bag of "stuff" to cart around is one of the Messenger bags the kids got from Build-A-Bear. It works, and was free.
But well, i'd like to find something "nicer" to save up for (HA, that could take me a year or 2 LOL). I can't decide if i want something my laptop could fit in or not....
And then of course, i have no idea if i will have other kids with me when we head off to various therapies - so i could need room for something to entertain them, or their school work and all that....
Gee, maybe i just need a wagon!
So help me out here - what do you cart around with you?

I have a huge canvas tote from Land's End. I got it on sale and IIRC it was about $25 with a free monogram. I use it for the library and any time I have a LOT to carry.

I second Land's End. I also use baskets (heavy-duty ones).

When we were running around to therapies two summers ago, I got a large Vera Bradley to throw all kinds of stuff in. Mostly to entertain Ava and school work for the others. It still comes in handy when we have to go to appointments. My kids call it the "Barney Bag" because it has everthing in it.

Go to TJ Max! I got an awesome bag there just for this purpose. It holds my laptop, my organizer, and a couple of school books, plus some "fidgets" and other little things.
And you want to know the best part? It was less than $15!!!!

I have to agree that those Land's Ends Bags are terrific. They wash great as well. If you sign up for their emails, they will often send you free shipping codes.
My only problem with bags is finding one that has enough dividers so I usually have 2 or 3 bags depending on where we go (and if we will be gone all day). I just pull out a little at each stop and do that before I pull out more. For my son, using clipboards is helpful. I have 2 with a subject or 2 each all pulled out and ready to go before we leave home. When I stop, I just pull out a clipboard. He has something to write on, work to complete, and a good place to keep it.

I second Land's End. I also use baskets (heavy-duty ones).
I have smaller bags for different activities, Coop, Bible Study, Church... I use the larger bag to carry the smaller bags as sometimes, my day varies on activities.
I actually do this with my purse too. I have a smaller purse that holds my keys, wallet and cell phone. The larger purse carries my meds, makeup and other essential items that are needed esp if I have a place to go that I have to wait (ie medical appointment)
I am so a bag lady, but hey this is my way of staying organized.

For smaller bags, I go to my supermarket, where they sell sturdy ones for $1. I also love the IKEA bags -- they are giant and cost about 50¢. I use a diaper bag (black. Target) as my main carry-all. I also use cheapo (about $9) duffel bags from Target.
That way, every sport/activity is in its own bag and I just pick up and go.

I was hunting around again online for bags just this morning.
I know what i WANT, but don't want to pay for it! LOL!!!
I'm still hunting.... i need pockets for sorting stuff - i don't think i can just get a regular tote to throw stuff in.

OK, i went "cheap" and bought myself a Vera Bradley messenger tote that was on sale.

It had decent pockets and isn't totally "frumpy" or "techie" like the rest of them i was pondering. No room for the laptop - but hey, that is ok, at least it doesn't say "Build-a-Bearville" on it :D
