Hi, Donelda.
Could you help me out by putting your name in your posts for awhile? You see, I've known one Donelda IRL (the mother of one of the boys in my class in ps) so your name has always stuck out to me and you've been around about as long as me. Thanks, because I like to read your posts.
Thanks Karin,
That means a lot to me.
Do you really know another Donelda? In my lifetime, I've heard of 7-8 of us, but I've never met anyone.
This is kind of wierd, but a vet clinic in town had a veterinarian named Donelda and I couldn't go there, because I wanted to be the only one! :o
I've gotten used to being unique.
I tried adding a signature to my posts. Let's see if it works.
Okay, that didn't work. Guess I need to go to the practice board.

Yes, I truly did. She wasn't my personal friend, of course, but her son was in my grade at school and this was a very, very small area. One class per grade for 1-4 (no longer, but back then) and 2 classes for 5-7 when the bused kids from the 2 K-4 schools Or it may have been K-5. Nowadays, all 3 of those schools is K-7. She would be around my parents age--I'm assuming she's still alive, but not sure if she still lives there. You are only the second one I've heard of.
My name is only spelled differently because my dad had a girlfriend named Karen, but when I see Karen I never think it's me, even if it's just a typo. However, if someone pronounces it the Scandinavian way (rhymes with car in) I will answer to it. Had I a name as uncommon as yours, I might have felt the same way about wanting to be the only one.
