I was just wondering if anyone has used this book? recommend it? And if so, do you know if there's much difference between the editions? (What edition did you have?)

Thanks!

I would have to go look, but my copy is old... I have used this book, and a Childs History book... both as read alouds and investigation... nothing formal.

I loved both books and still own them... always will..:) they are part of my libraray of sorts....

To my knowledge, Child's Geography has not been updated the way the Child's History has.

I had the geography book and sold it. While I loved the narrative style, it was also very dated and full of that racist sounding language. Stuff about how the Hindu's prayers are just nonsense, people in Italy are always loving to sing, other things I forget specifically, but remember there was a lot that bothered me. Full of stereotypes and dated, bigoted language.
