I know from experience that my guys need to practice something regularly to retain it, I didn't require cursive after my ds learned it last year and he had to re-learn it this year. Now that he's typing and knows cursive, I'm trying to decide what to require for what.

He uses IEW, which I think may be a better fit done on the computer (making editing easier allowing him to focus on the skill of writing and not dreading the "final copy" to come. I also think the computer skills he would learn from doing this are important.

He doesn't have a lot of other writing for 2nd, 10 SWR words and a grammar worksheet daily. Is this enough cursive practice?

I would probably add in some dictation maybe 3 days a week for a while to keep up with practicing cursive. When he reaches the point that he no longer has to think about how to form any of the letters, then I would drop it.
