 Okay, why I'm even up now is beyond me. I just can't seem to sleep in past 7:30 anymore and I am NOT a morning person. Wakeup time for me is typically 8:30. I get up, ask ds8 to do his chore that he was supposed to do last night (empty trash from each room) b/c trash pick-up is today. Ds5 wakes up and starts SCREAMING b/c HE wants to replace the trash bag in the kitchen trash can. Ds8 is practically done...so I tell ds5, "you can do it next time sweetheart." That was obviously unacceptable b/c he threw himself on the floor, kicking and screaming and calling ds8 every name known to a 5yo (thank GOD he doesn't know curse words ). I will say it took incredible restraint on the part of my 8yo to NOT scream back or worse. Anyway, please tell me this day can only get BETTER?

((Sue)) What a no-fun way to start the day! Look at the bright side... at least he WANTED to do a chore, right?

Smile! :D We had a terrible Monday and I was a bear!

This morning my 6yr DS was walking around moaning and groaning because 9yo DS didn't have to clean the bathroom this morning because I did a really thorough job before they woke up, BUT 6yr DS still had to empty the dishwasher (that is his "big" job). Oh! The unfairness of it all!! Of course, what 6yr DS DOESN'T remember is all of the times that I've either already done the dishwasher for him or that it hasn't been ready to empty when he didn't have to do that chore but 9yo DS STILL had to clean a bathroom!

Smile Mom!! Sounds like your 8yo did a great job! I'm very impressed!
