I have a silly request...

I have to go to court today for a speeding ticket I got when we were moving in January. I am SO nervous!!! If you are the praying kind, please send some my way today. Or good thoughts, if you are so inclined?

I don't know why I am so scared about this - I feel like such a sissy! Most things do not "ruffle my feathers", but for some reason, this sure does!

Good luck today! I've only had one speeding ticket, and I went to court about it. One thing I noticed is that they cut the fines in half for most people just for showing up. (Unless they were argumentative... then the judge usually went with the original amt.)

I remember how nervous I was. Don't worry, it'll be over soon!

I had to go to traffic court last month for expired tags. I was a wreck, but it went by really fast. The judge explained how it all works, then he'd call people up in groups of 10, then from that, one at a time before the bench. The DA would look at the charge, see if you'd fixed the problem, dismiss it or attach a fine. Here, if you ask for court supervision, it costs more, but it doesn't go on your record and your insurance doesn't find out about it.

I hope you'll walk out of there feeling relieved, if not a bit poorer! LOL

thanks all for your prayers - it did go well today! I had to pay a fine, but the speed was reduced so that the ticket will not show up on my insurance, which was my real worry!
