I saw on an old thread that you mentioned that the 3rd edition of the 3rd grade BJU math would be coming out in the fall and that it would contain the review instead of it being another workbook. I'm really happy, but I had a couple questions, if you know. It looks like the 1st grade, which is the 3rd edition, still offers the review book. It also looks like on the site that even their 2nd grade is still the 2nd edition-is the 3rd edition of that also slated to come out in the fall? I'm just wondering because I'm about to order 2nd and/or 3rd grade math materials for the first time from BJU and I would wait to get the latest editions if you're sure.
Can you tell us the differences you've noticed between the 2nd and 3rd editions? Do you still get drill practice like I've heard they also had in the old Review book, or has that been done away with? Will they still sell a Reviews book with the new editions in case you want it? Is there somewhere I could look for more information about all this? Sorry for all the questions !! Thank you so much!

ok, i am going to refer you to a link which is where i discovered that BJU 3rd would be available
here I copied and pasted one of the lady's answers re: 3rd (she had gotten an email from BJU)
the whole thread is found at this link:http://www.homeschoolreviews.com/forums/1/thread.aspx?id=31423
(its on the 2nd page)
Posted this on a separate thread as well.
From BJUP:
Thank you for contacting us. We do anticipate having the Grade 3 Math 3rd edition available by July, 2008. In regards to your questions concerning the Grade 4 Math, the Math 4 Student Text noted as "copyright update" is not a revision; errata items have been corrected and some pictures have been updated. We do not have projected information as to when a new edition of Grade 4 Math will be published.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. For your convenience, you may call us toll-free at 1-800-845-5731.
Sincerely,
BJU Press

Now, as far as the differences. There is included review on the back side of the worksheet., But they also include 3rd editions review books as well...which i really like because they have drilling on one side.
Also, the 2nd grade is new and available now. I would call BJU to find how to navigate it on their website. I dont know why they make it so difficult:rolleyes:
**I hope this helped some***
BJU can be very vague when it comes to knowing what is going on in their own company.

I went to the hsreviews site and read your link plus some other info I found there. It does sound like it's hard to get straight answers from BJU about this!
Couple more quick ??? if I may: Are you continuing to do the extra reviews book or is the review section included in the new edition enough? It sounds like it would still be nice to have for the drill. Do you know if they still have the Stretch Your Mind extra workbook available with the third editions? I think those would be a good fit for dd so I hope so! Do you find the TM to be overwhelming? I'm using BJU3 Bible this yr and I HATE the TM-very school-oriented. Can you tell me how you use the TM-just pull out what you need, or what? Thank you again for your help!
