It depends on your area. Here in SW Washington/Portland OR area, the rate seems to be between $30 - $50/hour, depending on the skill level of the tutor.
I believe on the east coast the rates are closer to $75 - 85/hour.
Also, the rate I pay is the same whether I have 1 or both my kids meeting the tutor.

We pay a college student $20 / hour. I'm just south of Seattle.
This is the best money I've ever spent, by the way. More than worth it.

In Fairfield County CT, the going rate for a college student or teacher is $50-$100 per hour. My dds charge $15/hour (but they are only 2/3 through the Wheelock book). They get a lot of public school kids taught with Cambridge and therefore having no grammar background.
Therefore it depends on two things: where you live and how qualified you are.

If our Latin tutor had tutored my 12yo ds one-on-one, he would have charged $25/hour. He is a retired gentleman. We live in FL.
Instead, he is teaching a class of 3 for $30 for 1.5 hrs/wk. We split the cost.
