What would you do, if your gut instinct told you that your student needed basic math skills review as they advanced into Algebra.......Just to keep those skills fresh in his/her mind?
I was thinking of a review set, of mixed problems, given once a week....just to keep things fresh....
Anyone have any suggestions?
Blessings,
Brenda
ALEKS has courses that work well for this. Essential Mathematics or Foundations of High School Math might be good options.

I would pick up an older copy of Lial's Basic College Math, a remedial text that reviews pre-algebra concepts. This is an inexpensive, consumable workbook.

Those "Keys To..." whatever books for math worked well for us...

I've used Lial's Basic College Math. Don't let the title scare you, my 12 year olds have used it.

What edition of this book would you use? And what would be a good price for it?
Got to go out of town for a day, but I'll check back either late Saturday or Sunday.

I'm afraid I may have to do this with my ds. Great info to have.

I have the 5th edition. Usually, the 5th & 6th editions are mentioned here.

Not sure how much variation exists between editions. Alibris has copies for as little as two dollars. The important thing is to get a clean copy. Since it is a consumable workbook, you don't want to buy one that has a lot of writing in it.
