I'm looking at streamlining studies for my 15yos & encouraging him to "own" his education more. We are aiming on him taking polytech courses in July 2010, so I have about a year to get him prepared to succceed in tertiary education & as he is looking at entering the trades this next 12 months will probably be the last history / literature / ect. formal studies he will take. I know he won't have time to complete all the CTT Upper School courses, but what I want his to take away from the curriculum is ability & confidence in reading comprehension, study skills, writing, etc. Ds#1 is a competitive gymnast, so we need a curriculum that is streamlined, as he spends hours at the gym daily.
