I have years worth of negatives and slides I want to have converted to digital format. Has anyone had this done? Do you know of a place that is reasonably priced and has good quality? Feel free to email me. Thanks!

If you have a significant number of negatives and/or slides, and you're not in a great hurry, you may want to consider buying a film scanner. The cost of having a lab do this sort of work these days can be rather expensive.
Ours is an ongoing project, with 35+ years of my husband's negatives and slides in 3-ring binders. When we have some extra time we will pull a binder from the shelf and scan a few rolls of film.
We use a Minolta Elite 5400 and though I don't have first-hand experience with others, I have heard good things about the Plustek OpticFilm scanners. Here is an article (http://shutterbug.com/equipmentreviews/scanners_printers/0907plustek/)from Shutterbug.

I would agree to consider buying. Even though I don't scrapbook, I plan on taking all the slides, pictures, etc. and converting them to digital and burning CD/DVD's. If you have a lot, having someone else do it will get very pricey quickly.

I think Canon makes one that is supposed to be good. Not sure about the cost.
