I really want to try to use a math program that will teach the graphing calculator. Could someone recommend a plan for me all the way up to a Calculus class. Also need opinions on Saxon Advanced Math and Saxon Calculus.
Thanks

through Algebra 1 & 2, and 1/2 of Advanced Math. This year, he's using Chalkdust's PreCalculus course. He much prefers Chalkdust. It is very visual with the DVDs, and it teaches how to use the graphing calculator. He very much prefers the Chalkdust DVDs to the Saxon Dive CDs. The Chalkdust book is more visual, too, and it has quite a few real-world application problems that make the math a little more interesting (IMHO).
The big downside is the cost -- it's expensive.
However, another poster here recently bought a similar set from the publisher of the text for quite a bit less money. If you look though the threads on math/precalc over the last few weeks, you should fine the details.
HTH,
Brenda
