What a great job!

My oldest will take the SAT or ACT next fall through the Duke TIP program. We read through the differences of the test, and my son thinks he wants to take the ACT. Personally I think he doesn't want to do the essay portion. The colleges we are considering accept both scores. How did you decide on which test to take? What else should we be considering?

Thanks,

Thank you ladies! This board has been a great resource in our homeschooling journey.
Beth, I felt ACT was more subject specific in comparison with SAT. So SAT seemed a better fit. Besides ds. always scored well in Reading and Math compared to other subjects.
Erica, we are looking into SET. Thanks!

What's SET?
Study of Exceptional Talent (http://cty.jhu.edu/set/index.html)... I don't know what they do, really, but the criteria is 700+ on the SAT (math or critical reading) before 13 years old.
