My daughter had a seven month long headache which put her behind in science and math. She was ahead in math so she is now at a normal pace (Alg II in 11th and PReCalc in 12th). However in science, she is not going to have four credits unless I add something. Her credits that she will have will be 1 credit each in Chemisty, Biology, and Physics and a half credit in Marine Science. I need one more half credit since more and more colleges require 4 credits in science. Any ideas- she would have to take in while doing one of those other full year courses so I want an easy course.

Apologia has a Marine Science (that requires biology before taking), can you get that and have her do what she didn't do in the one semester? That is a lot of harder science, our 4th science credit was physical science in 9th grade.

Perhaps Forensic Science. Have you seen this thread?
Know of any Homeschool Friendly Resources for Studying Forensic Science? (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47653&highlight=forensic)

Have you considered a semester astronomy class?

Food Science: The Biochemistry of Food and Nutrition from Glencoe looks really interesting and fun.

I would check the colleges she's looking at before fretting too much over this. Many only expect more than 3 from those planning to major in a science.

Environmental science is easier than any other high school science my sons have taken. There is an AP test as well. (Ds's grades aren't in yet on that; however, other kids we've known who worked through an environmental science test in a very informal class setting got 4's and 5's. )

I took a semester-long weather class in college. It was fun, we learned how to use all of the different weather instruments, learned about atmosphere, clouds, storms, air patterns, etc. It was a fun class!
The forensics and astronomy ideas sound great too! I love science. :D

I took physics (1 credit) and physiology (1/2 credit) during the same school year. The physiology should come after biology, of course.
