unfortunately, it does not look promising. There are 2 used copies being sold on Amazon, starting at $179.:(

I got my copy from the museum shop at the Met in New York, but I'm not seeing it in their online catalog anymore. Sorry! :(

We have a cassette, and there are a few used on Amazon for much less than they're asking for the CD.
EDITED: Just want to clarify: none of the cassettes on Amazon is mine. :)

Bummer, I should have got on this bandwagon sooner.
I posted on the WTB board -- maybe I'll find a sweet soul who is finished w/ their copy and wants to sell it (hint, hint) :)

I guess I should back-up my copy now!
Beth and LisaTheresa, I do hope you find copies somewhere...my dc adore the CDs. Have you checked your library? :)

Naxos Audios (http://www.naxosaudiobooks.com/northamerica/juniorfiction.htm) has some Greek Myths and the Illiad and the Odyssey. My kids love their cds. Actually, I buy them from audible.com as downloads. You can also listen to samples of them either at the naxos website or at the audible.com website.

Can you get it through your library and make a copy of it?

Er...not if she wants to avoid breaking copyright laws.

The publisher was Airplay, but the airplayaudiobooks.com website appears not to exist anymore. I too bought mine through the Met store (which seemed to have copies long after they disappeared everywhere else), but they listed it as "back-ordered" several months ago, then it disappeared altogether.
Honestly, while I'm generally pretty careful about copyright laws, I don't have a problem with copying a library item for personal use when something is totally unavailable / out of print, and I've done my best to find it elsewhere.

Thanks, gang. It sure would be simpler if I could just buy a copy from someone whose kiddos have outgrown it :)
I love a challenge!!

Never mind!! I thought I had found the cd, but it was just the book. One of those *duh* moments in my life!
