my post appears at the bottom of all other replies with a little orange envelope next to it. Does anyone know what this means? Is there a certain way to reply that just adds my reply to the queue? (hope this makes sense, as I'm still learning how to navigate around here). Thanks.

I believe the orange envelope means it was just posted.
All replies that are made with the "Post reply" button or Post Quick Reply go to the bottom of the thread, much like on the old board they went to the top as the most recent.
If want to reply to a specific part of the thread, click on the bottom right icon paper and pencil of that particular post and it will show up on the thread as a response to that.
You have to have your options on the control panel set to HYBRID, so that at the top of your screen, you see the threads and how they line up, your post will go to the bottom of that thread inside the thread rather than to the bottom, and one can clickon thread up top and read according to how they should flow.
