I love what I get done in the morning when I actually get up and get going with my young man.
But, man alive! It's hard to drag my butt out of bed that early!
5:30 am!!!

are a challenge. You just have to shrug and figure he'll be old enough to not need you in the mornings soon enough.
You're "shoes" to fill picture is adorable.

Mine have all been fairly early risers. But Boo takes the cake! My hub, some time ago, started getting the elder boys up just before he left for work each morning. That seemed to work well for them. It got them up and moving, they got their chores done, Eldest even fixed breakfast and fed everyone, then they started on independent school work. Yeah, it's been great. ;) But then, little man weaned and went up to sleep with the big boys. For a while hub could bring him down, put him in my bed and he'd drift back off to sleep for a bit. But not anymore. Now he's usually the first one up. Shortly after hub's awake, Boo is downstairs with him. Apparently they have Bible time together. Wish I could set a camera up for that one teehee
For the most part, the elders can tend to him until I get up, but, he also knows how to open doors so comes into my room...in and out. On my bed, out of my bed, open door, close door. You get the idea. Mom doesn't exactly get to sleep in anymore.
So I wipe the sleep from my eyes, drag my hiney out of bed and get to it. By then, he's settled at the table with breakfast. But by then, it's too late for me.
Ah well.
My guys have better attitudes throughout the day when they wake up early and 'get on it' than when they sleep in and laze around. So, I accept even my littlest early riser. And thank the Lord for my ever-willing, ever-serving, ever-helpful Eldest...he bides me a half an hour anyway :p

You need this book (http://www.amazon.com/Milton-Early-Riser-Robert-Kraus/dp/0671669117/ref=si3_rdr_bb_product).
Your children are scrumptious looking. Especially Miss Footie Pajamas doing her own thing off to the side there. Sweet, sweet, sweet.

Pam! Thank you for the book recommendation. That looks darling!
That picture of my daughter just cracks me up, too. "Mama, on," she says. She wears my underwear around her neck, slings my bras around there too, and if I'm available then she wants me to put my bras on her the right way. She's a hoot.
