Health insurance...do you like yours? Why or why not?

My dh may be getting health insurance through his work. He works on commission and instead of a guaranteed sum per month he is going to ask that they pay for our health insurance instead. The company offers no insurance so we will find our own coverage. There are so many companies out there. I don't know where to start. What company do you like (if that is possible!) and what company don't you like?

We went the HMO route and have been fairly pleased... My only gripe so far has been that they don't cover mental health services unless you have a diagnosis, but that seems to be pretty common; it just seems that a plan that covers well visits ought to offer something.

I am not the type to build a relationship with a doctor, and just like to go in, be seen, and get out, so the HMO mentality works for me. Nearly everything is covered with a small co-pay.

Of course, I have heard horror stories, but no more than use private insurance at any local hospital.
