I have a question about LOF algebra through statistics..would each of these be enough to give a high school credit for? I am thinking ahead and wondering if these would be good for my son. They look fun but I am worried that they will not be enough.

I'm sure you will get differing opinions on this. :001_smile:
In my opinion, each LOF course from Algebra through Statistics is worth one high school credit, provided you use the Home Companion books for Alg I & II and Trig (although personally, I don't plan to do Trig as a full year.) The Geometry and Calculus books are quite thick and do not have separate practice volumes.
If your child needs lots of review and practice to solidify concepts, or needs more explicit explanation of concepts, then you might need to supplement. My son is not inherently mathy and needs things broken down into small steps with each step explicitly taught, so I'm using TT with him as well as LOF. My daughter OTOH like math and "gets" things quickly, so I think LOF will probably be fine for her by itself. I doubt she will be pursuing a career in math or science, and I'd rather she really enjoy math and consider it fun and not intimidating.

:iagree:
Each of these is a full credit value.
My son used LOF for Algebra I, Geometry, and Statistics. Starting Algebra II tomorrow :)
I did combine it with NEM for additional problem sets. IMO LOF's biggest weakness is lack of practice. But the concepts are all there and are all taught well.
