Can anyone who has seen the new WTM shed some light as to what SWB recommends for rhetoric-level ancient history? History of the Ancient World + what?

Thanks :001_smile:

Does the lack of response mean that the newest edition of WTM isn't out yet? I couldn't find it at our recent state's home school convention.

The book is out; I saw it at the local bookstore. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, so I'm afraid I can answer your question.

I don't know if this is helpful, but it looks like History of the Ancient World for half of the week and a Study of the Great Books for the second half of the week. She says you'll want The Timetables of History on hand, along with DK's History of the World as 2 additional reference books. A minimum of 8 great books should be read, but 12 is better.

This is just a skimming--My oldest is just entering the Logic stage :001_smile:.
