I'm wondering if the fact that schools will now count hours, instead of days, will have mean anything to us?

I guess this is the board to post this question to.

...do you have a link? Keywords I could use to 'Google'?

I guess it still has to pass the senate. I know homeschool isn't technically covered, but the HSLDA's previous suggestion was to count days equivalent to what was required for PS. Right? Since I'm new, maybe I'm off.

I hadn't heard that. Doesn't worry me though.

If we do "have" to start counting hours, it shouldn't be a big deal. Taking that number of hours and dividing it out by six, that's your 180 days. So many things can be considered school hours when you are homeschooling that it should be easy to get the hours counted.

In OK you don't have to tell anyone that you are HSing. How can they tell how many hours/days you do school if they don't know you exist? Food for thought! I am from FL where you have to inform the local district and have children evaluated - count your blessings!
