Would you recommend Introduction to Classical Studies from Memoria Press?

I used the older, combined version.

It's basically a reading schedule, with some study questions and vocabulary, and memory items. I ended up using it very little.

The more recent versions include student guides, IIRC, which are more like workbooks for comprehension and vocabulary.

We ended up just reading through the books, and discussing them.

This has largely been replaced by MP's Classical Studies (http://www.memoriapress.com/descriptions/index_classical.htm) and Christian Studies (http://www.memoriapress.com/descriptions/ChristianStudies.html) courses.

If you are using any of those, the Introduction (http://www.memoriapress.com/descriptions/classical_intro.html) would be redundant.

The Introduction has students read the same three books three years in a row, going into increasing depth each year. The new courses split the material up so that students only read each book once. My dd happily re-reads books like D'Aulaire's Greek Myths, but I also know she would be frustrated having to study them over and over, so I've opted for the new courses myself. HTH!
