Ok, i had posted a question a few days ago about perhaps going tanning before embarking on a cruise and a few of you mentioned "mystic tan" as an alternative.
So, i am wondering if it will look fake or streaky? Will people look at me and know that it is a "spray on"?
I dont want to look orange...but i need some color so I am hoping that Mystic looks natural.
Also, if i get it the day before i leave will it last the whole week?
thanks for your help!

I did the mystic tan just at Christmas time. I did 3 of them. The great thing about the mystic tan is that you can pick levels of darkness as well. I think I did the medium level b/c I didn't want it to be such a drastic change from my normal skin tone. It did not look orange or streaky. Here's how it goes...you put on some lotion (that the salon provides you) on your toe nails and fingernails so they don't get stained, you then put a cap on your head. Next you step in the booth and push the button to be sprayed. It sprays your front first then you turn and it sprays your back. Then you step out and wipe the "tan" off. I think your not supposed to bathe for a few hours after to let the stain set in. When you do bathe make sure you shower b/c your bath water will be brown! After that then the color will show on your skin. I would do a few tans just to get good and stained! I would say the only downfall is that I always felt like I could smell the tanning stain on my skin. My dh never said he could, but I'm also funny about smells. The tan will at least last you for 1-2 weeks. I know for myself it lasted at least a couple of weeks. I hope it works out for you!

That explanation was so helpful! I am so glad to hear that it will last for that long! If you say to get it done a few times before i go (for a good stain), does that mean a few times in a row like in the same week...or do you mean over a few weeks time?
thanks again!
